This common additive prevents degradation, caused by heat exposure which results in discoloration of the wax &/or a rancid odor.

Soy waxes are more sensitive to heat than paraffin waxes and benefit most from this added protection, but it is also recommended for paraffin that will be exposed to long-term heat.

Typically added at .1% to .15% of the wax batch size.
